MP NEET PG Revised Cut-off 2025 (Category-wise Percentile & Score)

The NEET PG 2025 cut-off has been officially reduced on January 13, 2026, by the National Board of Examinations (NBE). This decision was taken to increase the number of eligible candidates for the remaining counselling rounds, including Round 3, Mop-Up Round, and Stray Vacancy Round of NEET PG 2025 counselling.

Earlier, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) had clarified that the revised counselling schedule for NEET PG 2025 Round 3 would be released only after the revised cut-off was announced. With the cut-off now lowered, candidates can expect the updated counselling dates to be published soon.

The reduction in cut-off aims to encourage wider participation in counselling, as Round 1 and Round 2 of NEET PG 2025 counselling have already been completed, and many seats—especially in non-clinical and peripheral colleges—remain vacant.

Why Was NEET PG 2025 Cut-off Reduced?

  • To fill vacant MD/MS/PG Diploma seats in later counselling rounds
  • To allow more candidates to qualify for NEET PG 2025 counselling
  • To address low participation in Mop-Up and Stray Vacancy rounds

Because top colleges and preferred specialties are usually filled in early rounds, discouraging borderline candidates from participating further

Experts believe that reducing the cut-off is a standard practice in later rounds to ensure optimal seat utilization across medical colleges.
